One of the fastest-growing parts of Lilongwe, out towards the northern edge. A lot of self-built family housing on plots people bought and developed themselves, which makes it one of the more affordable places to buy a finished house. Water pressure and road surfacing vary street by street — worth checking on the viewing.

Lilongwe is organised into numbered Areas rather than named suburbs, which is why almost every local search is for a number — Area 47, Area 49, Area 43. Broadly, the low numbers and Old Town are the older, denser, cheaper side of the city; the high numbers to the north and east are where the newer walled houses and the remaining serviced plots are. City Centre is offices and institutions rather than homes.
