Property in Area 10, Lilongwe

One of Lilongwe's most established addresses — large walled plots, mature gardens, and a long-standing diplomatic and NGO presence that keeps rents firm. Houses here are usually let furnished at the executive end, often with quarters, standby power and a borehole.

About Lilongwe

Malawi's capital and its biggest property market. Lilongwe is organised into numbered Areas rather than named suburbs, which is why almost every local search is for a number — Area 47, Area 49, Area 43. Broadly, the low numbers and Old Town are the older, denser, cheaper side of the city; the high numbers to the north and east are where the newer walled houses and the remaining serviced plots are. City Centre is offices and institutions rather than homes.
